Computers and CTS - Is there an association?

To date I have been unconvinced from the literature and personal experience that use of computers ties to the development or progression of carpal tunnel syndrome. An article by Mediouni, Bodin and Dale published in the British Medical Journal Open in 2015, Vol. 5, No. 9, "Carpal tunnel syndrome and computer exposure at work in two large complementary cohorts", analyzed a French working population of 1,551 workers prospectively. It does not support an association between computer work and CTS. Admittedly, French workers put in less hours than Americans upping their weekend about 32 hours; it is, however, noteworthy.
